Menezes Polyclinic

The Menezes Polyclinic is a twenty seven bed facility nestled in the peaceful Altinho Hill locality of Panaji, Goa. It is a privately run hospital belonging to the Cosme Matias Menezes family. Started in 1964 by Pascoal Jose Menezes who wished to make medical care easily available to the underserved Goan population, it has continued to grow and maintain its value of quality healthcare and high ethical standards all these years. It has recently undergone a major renovation and has reopened its new revamped facility. The Menezes family was pleased to welcome the Goa-America Heart Foundation Trust (GAHFT) which shares the same values and ideology. Both parties share the goal of providing affordable and quality medical care to those that need it most.

The GAHFT cardiac clinic under the expertise of cardiologist Dr. Ana Karina Jacques and her staff is open daily for consultations.

Also recently opened is the Prateek Menezes Memorial Foundation pediatric five bed ward in the memory of Pascoal Menezes’ grandson Prateek. The facility contains nine private rooms, a male ward, a female ward and the maternity ward. Currently there are three RMO’S (Resident Medical Officers) covering continuous shifts. On staff are consultants in the field of General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Polyclinic has an Operation Theater for obstetric, gynecology and general surgeries. Other in-house facilities are X-ray, Sonogram, Pharmacy and Laboratory run by Health Quest Diagnostics.

The Menezes Polyclinic celebrated a milestone in 2014. It completed 50 years (Goan Observer - April 2014) since it was established as a not-for-profit organization, and continues to provide affordable medical care to people in Goa.
